City teams, practitioners and the European Commission met in Brussels in June 2023 for the NetZeroCities ‘Mission in Progress conference, highlighting the progress over the last year and looking ahead and to share their journeys towards climate neutrality.
Over a packed two days, the focus was very much on collaboration, knowledge sharing and learning. The Lunar Works Directors Jane and Ed facilitated peer-to-peer knowledge exchange sessions with cities sharing best practices, tackling common challenges, and sharing approaches and methodologies with one another.
Jane also took part in a panel discussion with Anthony Zacharzewski (Democratic Society), Francesca Rizzo (POLIMI), and Eugenie Cartron (Dark Matter Labs), chaired by NZC Managing Director Thomas Osdoba (Climate-KIC), on learnings from the first year of work in NetZeroCities, progress on the Climate City Contracts (CCCs), how cities are making the systemic approach unique to their individual contexts and how NetZeroCities can support the cities in their journey.
