We worked with URBACT to design and deliver the UK sharing event for the UK URBACT Transfer Network cities, taking place in 13 May 2021.
Funded under the URBACT Transfer Networks, six leading UK cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Brighton & Hove, Barnsley and Preston, had planned to work with local communities and businesses to implement proven breakthrough innovations. COVID-19 has meant that the city project teams have found themselves working in new and surprising ways with communities to achieve their overarching goals when tried and tested approaches were no longer possible due to pandemic restrictions.
The event also featured guest speakers, including:
- Cassie Robinson, Deputy Director, Funding Strategy at The National Lottery Community Fund
- Adele Bucella, Head of Unit, Projects & Programming, URBACT
- Mark Duncan, Strategic Lead, Resources & Programmes, Manchester City Council
- Programme Lead & Territorial Facilitator, European Territorial Cooperation, Cities and Local Growth Unit, UK Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
