Strategic communications for Brighton & Hove Pride

We provided strategic, resilience and crisis communications support for Brighton & Hove Pride Pride weekends in 2018 and 2019, including planning and managing strategic communications with emergency service providers, operations managers, the city and transport services as well as outward-facing communications with the general public.

The event draws over 250,000 revellers and participants and is one of the largest and most complex events to be held in cities in the UK.

With complex security arrangements, multiple sites and large numbers of crowds moving from venue to venue, the resilience strategy requires a strategic understanding of city and emergency services operations as well as the cultural underpinnings of the event including the diverse nature of the LGBTQ+ communities.

We also provided strategic advice on working with the City throughout 2019 and the launch of the City Angels business engagement campaign.
